My Wrench Light on My Ford Fiesta Came on and Went Off Again

Hi,

I just got my oil changed at the dealer and they forgot to turn off the "Wrench Light" on my judge cluster. I was in a flake of a rush, then I told them I would practice information technology and it'south fine. I've been trying to reset this affair for the last hour following the instructions in this thread:

http://www.fiestastforum.com/forum/threads/1116-Oil-Life-Reset

I cannot for the life of me turn off this damn wrench calorie-free.

Has anyone successfully done this? I've been searching the cyberspace for answers and nobody can confirm to have done this successfully.

CanadianGuy

Yup. Twice already. Press the start button without the clutch press. When in auxiliary printing the gas and brake fully for 1 infinitesimal. There is no message, manual lies. After 15 seconds or so the wrench calorie-free will go off simply keep pressing for the total minute. That should do it.

Thread Starter #3

ok, permit me become out to my motorcar and give it a shot.

Thread Starter #4

Not working :(

Anyway you can list your exact steps?

Thread Starter #5

I've been literally holding downward the gas and brake for 3 minutes now. That light will non go away

CanadianGuy

Those are my steps. Or. Open door, sit down it press start, wait x seconds, press brake and gas together to the floor, await 1 minute, wrench low-cal off, release both pedals, press first, once everything ig off start like normal.

If that does not work bring it back to the shop. Might take a software issues.

Mine has been similar this for a couple weeks.....tried everything.....did a VHC. ...nothing came upward. Vehicle does not go into limp way ....drives commonly. I oh well....stupid lube tech children.

Thread Starter #8

I retrieve I've washed this like 20 times and it's yet not working. This is then annoying..

Thread Starter #9

Mine has been like this for a couple weeks.....tried everything.....did a VHC. ...nix came up. Vehicle does not go into limp style ....drives normally. I oh well....stupid lube tech children.

My motorcar is completely normal except for this stupid wrench light

Thread Starter #10

I did Observe when my car is in ignition on, the check engine lite that is illuminated does glimmer for 4-v seconds and so stays solid. Kinda weird

CanadianGuy

Maybe disconnect the battery ? Merely a wild guess at this point.

TyphoonFiST

Hmmm....might have to try information technology just for shits....I heard that our vehicles don't have an oil monitoring system and it's a glitch/problems.

Thread Starter #xiii

let me attempt that and i will written report dorsum.

Muldoon

These are the exact steps I used to articulate mine:

1: Uninstall AccessPort
2. Plow ignition on (push ignition button, but practice non press the clutch in)
3. Depress brake and gas pedals 100% (light should become off afterwards a couple seconds)
4. Count to 30
5. Beginning the car only to double check the light doesn't come up back
6. Ability down
vii. Reinstall AP

If you accept an accessport installed, it needs to be uninstalled to reset the oil change reminder. If following CanadianGuy's directions or mine nevertheless don't work after uninstalling an AP you lot tin try holding down your restriction and gas Earlier hitting your ignition button. That was a tip from my Ford dealer when I was having similar issues, no idea if information technology works. If all of that is a fail, then maybe information technology unfortunately ISN'T an oil reminder, merely a powertrain warning calorie-free.

6. Power downwards

Give thanks you Muldoon! It worked! The low-cal went off after about 2-3 seconds of holding downward the brake and gas after I uninstalled my AP. :D

Reped you

CanadianGuy

Thanks! Glad I could assistance!

Great job Muldoon. Did not think the Accessport would be a factor as my Mtune is continued 24/7 and information technology has the MP215 melody. Now we know for the future.

Thank you for the compliment, no thought how many curse words my dash heard before I figured it out, haha. That's weird that I couldn't articulate information technology but your MTune was fine. It must be something with the Cobb OTS tunes then. I wonder if any pro-tuned guys have the same issue.

If you accept an accessport installed, it needs to exist uninstalled to reset the oil change reminder. If post-obit CanadianGuy's directions or mine still don't work after uninstalling an AP yous can endeavour holding down your brake and gas BEFORE hitting your ignition push button. That was a tip from my Ford dealer when I was having similar issues, no idea if information technology works. If all of that is a fail, then maybe information technology unfortunately ISN'T an oil reminder, but a powertrain warning low-cal.

Certain as shit...it worked. Information technology came beyond my mind merely I didn't retrieve of information technology myself. But then once again aught is perfect ....

Thank you Muldoon!

The raptor fences aren't out, are they?
